I have been inspired!!! There is a great, big educational world out there and through conferences like Learning and the Brain and ISTE, I have been fortunate enough to witness this exciting and expanding world!! I really wanted to have a "creative space" in our class this upcoming year. I hesitate to call it a Maker Space because I don't feel like I know enough about the movement to claim it quite yet. I do, however, now have a place for students to create, tinker, and wonder. I am excited to see how it develops this year! My son has been along for this journey. Yesterday, my Little Bits came in and we sat down to tinker. We walked through the basics and I thought that would be it. Dillon was not finished. He tinkered and played for over an hour. That is when I knew our creative space was heading in the right direction. Here is our little video about.
