Take Aways From Morning #1

I flew the redeye from Honolulu to Atlanta last night! Pickle had an upset stomach the night before I left so I did not have any sleep going into the flight.  An unexpected BONUS: I slept the whole flight! I fell asleep during the hilarious scene in Bridesmaids where Kristen Wiig is kicking the sh*t out of a giant cookie and woke up with 40 minutes to go in the flight!

Once we landed, I was able to cab to the hotel, check in early (DOUBLE BONUS), shower (TRIPLE BONUS), and head over to HachEducation's Unconference 2014 with time to spare!

So here are my take aways of ISTE thus far:

-People are so stinking friendly!! People have no problem introducing themselves while switching website addresses and twitter handles.

-The teachers who attend these conference are innovators.  It is so awesome to hear about all the innovative technology integration that is happening in the U.S and the tools available to make that innovation possible!

My Unconference goes till this afternoon and then I get meet up with some of my Punahou peeps or shall I say tweeps!!  I am on a quest to: A) Eat Chicken and Waffles and B) Find a gay bar so I can take a selfie with a divalicious, fabulous gay black man who walks around wearing high heels!! I might need to rest tonight and catch up on sleep but we shall see how far my adrenaline gets me!!  I will make A and B happen!!

Mahalo for reading and stay tuned!

So at dinner tonight up in Midtown, Baton Bob (http://batonbob.weebly.com/about-me.html) came through--made an appearance in the middle of the patio with twirling baton and heels.... you can live vicariously through us on your requirement #2.
